Ronan, my youngest, showed me how to make these paper ornaments after learning it in class. You're actually supposed to make five and attach them together to make a star, but I really like how they looked on their own.

I made these trees from two different sized books and a large design magazine I had laying around for way too long.

The last project I made from the old books was a picture to hang during the holidays. I wrote a cheerful saying over the pages then arranged them inside a frame we weren't using.
Lastly, I created a Noel sign to hang above the buffet table. I found my inspiration on Pinterest from here. I didn't have any wooden letters to use, so I created my own. The "N" I painted on an old sample of bamboo I had from interior design class. The "O" is part of a grape vine wreath I've had stashed in storage for just such an occasion. The "E" I made by winding string around tiny nails in just the right shape (I had to rearrange the nails a few times to make it look like a sober E). The "L" I made from a kakui nut necklace a roommate from years ago left before skipping on rent, thank you for the contribution.
